Position Statement

Welcome to the website of the Cardiovascular Society of Advanced Practice Providers. We originated in 1999. Providers interested in cardiovascular disease and treatment have met every other month to listen to guest speakers talk on various topics related to Cardiovascular disease. Attendance averages anywhere between 30 and 60 people per meeting.

Although our target audience in providers in Cardiovascular specialties, we encourage anyone else with specific interest in cardiovascular disease. By providers, we mean Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Physicians, Nurse Educators, and anyone else responsible for the direct care and/or treatment of cardiovascular disease.

Provide and promote opportunities for dissemination of information related to cardiovascular research conducted by cardiology advanced practice providers
Create and environment for networking among cardiovascular providers
Establish a network of cardiology sub-speciality advanced practice providers as physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and students
