FAQs

Q: How do I join?

A: Complete the form found here. Please give 1 to 2 weeks for processing. Note that processing may be delayed for incompletely filled forms or inaccurate email addresses.

Q: How much does it cost to join?

A: There is no cost to join. This service is free at this time. The listserv is operated by Yahoogroups and therefore will have advertising through Yahoo. Work done specific to CAZNAP is done by volunteers.

Q: How do I unsubscribe from the list?

A: At the bottom of every message is a link to follow to unsubscribe from the list.

Q: How many messages can I expect?

A: Typically there are as many as 30 to 40 emails daily. There are some days when there are less than 10 emails. By signing up to yahoogroups with a username using the email you are receiving messages at, you can request a digest form. This can also be found on a link at the bottom of each email message.

Q: How will I know you got my information?

A: You should receive an email invite from the administrator through yahoo groups. Be sure to check your junk mail folder as sometimes this is where the invite goes.

Q: Can I get a copy of the email list?

A: CAZNAP does not release membership information to anyone. The moderator will send information on request to the listserv if it is deemed appropriate (i.e. job opportunities, conference dates, etc.)

Q: The message volume is too high, how can I organize the messages?

A: Using a program like Microsoft Outlook, you can create a ‘rule’ in the email program to move all received messages from CAZNAP into a separate folder. This can help unclutter your inbox.

Q: What is the ‘digest’ preference?

A: If you obtain a yahoo ID tied to the same email you receive CAZNAP messages at, you can go to your preferences page and select to receive ‘digest’ format. This will send one email containing all of the days messages once daily. Warning: the email will include the threads for each message repeated, which can actually increase the amount of data to scroll through.
